LEADING FOR DIFFERENTIATION: DESIGNING EDUCATION THAT MAXIMISES EVERY STUDENT'S LEARNING POTENTIAL

Extensive research and classroom experience provide a basis for understanding the practices of school leaders who bring about schoolwide change that positively impacts learning outcomes for the full range of students. In this session, we’ll examine ten research-based principles or guidelines for school leaders who want to develop schools that maximize the learning potential of all students. We’ll look at issues like tapping into teacher motivation, how to get started with leading for differentiation, how to provide personalized feedback to teachers, how to support teacher growth in differentiation, how to engage teachers in meaningful conversations about differentiation, and why it matters to differentiate for teachers.
